When I opened up my cable television bill last month, I was surprised. Even though they have had price increases in the last two years, they were once again raising the price on every package. I was beyond frustrated, because I felt that I was paying too much even before the first price hike. I decided to explore my options and see what the competition offered. I wish I could have just went without but I am a confessed television junkie, and I prefer watching my shows on my big screen TV. I first looked at direct tv and while I did look at a couple of other options, I knew that I would be going with DirecTV.
It was pretty easy to come to this conclusion based just on their prices. I would be getting more channels for nearly half the price. I would also be getting so much more than that, which is heaven to a TV junkie’s eyes and ears. Along with regular television shows, I really enjoy listening to music channels on my TV. My cable company did provide some music channels, but there were not that many of them. Since I like most any genre of music, having so many more was definitely a selling point too.
Probably what really convinced me was the person I talked with when I called. I had so many questions, because I knew that I would be signing a contract for at least two years. I wanted to make sure that I knew every single thing that I was getting, as well as any hidden costs. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were no hidden costs, but I was even happier to have someone answer every question with a detailed answer. Having such great customer service really tells a lot about a company, and I am happy that I have switched over now.
